"Follow You"

Hello guys!

Today, the alternative metal band Bring Me The Horizon has released the official music video for their single Follow You off their latest album That's The Spirit. Along with Drown, Throne and True Friends, which are the other singles off the album which were released some time ago.

Analizing the video, it's a very curious one to watch - since the beginning it's pretty clear the aim of the video, which is a critic to society.

In the video, you can see how everyone's "going crazy", killing other people, destroying everything... however, you can also see this guy who's the main character of the video just walking like nothing's going wrong. If we go deeper into that we can compare it to the world as it is today. Even though the video shows a kind of unrealistic caption, it's similar to things happening at the moment.

All these things are actually happening, in a different way, but they're happening. There are people being killed, there are people destroying cities and countries. Nevertheless, we still act as if nothing was happening, as if everything was okay. We are like that one guy who's walking and ignoring everything around him. Do you really want that? Do you want to be that person who ignores the actual issues and doesn't give a damn about what's going on? I don't know about you, but I don't want to be that person.

I don't think that we can turn a blind eye, and I won't.

"We are the strays"

Hi everybody!

Today I'm going to talk about a song. If you usually read my posts you'll know that when it comes to talking about a song I end up talking about deep stuff and about emotions. That's what I mostly look for in music so, it sounds okay to me.

The song I've chosen is The Strays by Sleeping With Sirens. This single is a very "calm" one if we compare it to the rest of the album, since it's only acoustic style most of the song and then it turns into a soft rock style.

Have you ever felt like you belonged nowhere, like you couldn't find a place in which you belonged? Have you ever been told that you're no one, that you'll never become who you want to? Have you ever felt astray? Have you ever felt like they were right? Have you ever felt lost, thrown away?

If so, don't worry. After all, this is what this song talks about, all the people who are astray - that's where the title comes from. It gives a sense of community, the same that is felt among the fans of a same kind of music, or of a same band.

It's okay to follow a different path than the rest of the people, why should we have to be like them? Don't you think so?

When all is said and done, maybe we're not that astray, all the strays are walking together. Our path is different, but it's still as valid as their path. At least we can say we were able to make it in a distinct way - isn't that something to celebrate?
