'Taking One For The Team' out now!

Hi my dear readers!

Only some hours ago, the pop-punk band from Montreal, Simple Plan, released their latest and fifth studio album! After what seemed like forever, Taking One For The Team is finally out - our guys are back!

There's only a thing I can say... awesome.

With pop-punk songs that remind us of old days of Simple Plan, about the topics that made us get hooked to their music, but also with songs different from each other. That's really cool, but, what about those acoustic deep songs that probably make you tear up or cry? There are also songs like that, those sad songs these guys make that leave you speechless.

Besides that, there are severall colaborations with other artists in this album, with artists such as R.City, Juliet Simms and more!

In my opinion, this album's great, and mixes all the little things that made me fall in love with this band, reminding me of their older music but also with a fresh vibe which is great. I think it's definitely what pop-punk needed.

So, what are your thoughts on this new album?

Valentine's Day

Hey there! How are you doing?

As you know, today is Valentine's Day. So, let's celebrate it! And, what's the best way of celebrating something? Exactly, with some music.

For that reason, I'm sharing with you 5 pop-punk/alternative/rock songs about love that you could dedicate to someone you love or you could just play in the background while you're on a date (?) I don't know, you decide the use you give the songs!

Do you want to show the person you love that you want to be with them always? Well, blink-182 has the answer! Behind the pop-punk vibe of these guys, here they are showing us their sweetest side:

Love is forever? That's what they say, don't they? Well, the guys from Sleeping With Sirens ask for a "forever" from the person they love. What about you?

Now coming back to a pop-punk style very common from Simple Plan, we have this single that you might think starts as a ballad, but it definitely isn't so! If your partner and you don't like quiet songs, but want to keep the love topic blast this song and sing along:

Coming back to a quieter beat, we have Boys Like Girls, who brings us a very romantic track to dedicate to the one you're in love with, in case you're a romantic that prefers to sing quiet and classic-kind-of love songs:

Last, but not least, we have Yellowcard, with this classic that never gets old, where we find again a pop-punk vibe that still keeps the topic we're talking about but makes you want to jump and sing along!

What are you doing/did you do today? If you don't have anyone to share these songs with, don't worry, we can't enjoy them together ;)

"Worthless"

Hi guys! What's up?

A few days ago, the metal band Bullet For My Valentine released the official music video for their single Worthless, off their latest album, Venom. Even though most people are talking about how Matt Tuck (the band's singer) has changed his hair style back to how it was some years ago, let's talk about music! This isn't a fashion blog anyway, right?

Following the line of the whole album Venom, this song has a similar meaning, expressing feelings of anger, being tired of giving second changed which are in vain, being hurt and let down by people or a certain person. There's a moment when you can't take it anymore and you decide to break away from that person and no matter how much they say they're sorry - it's already too late. Sometimes, you don't want to be hurt again and you just can't give any more chances. As the song says:

"You can keep all your apologies, those words are worthless to me, and I don't wanna hear that you're sorry"

Because, there's a point you pass from which there's no return, and after that happens, you don't want any apologies. You just want that person/group of people away from you.

Chris Brenner

Hey there!

Today I'm talking you about a singer/youtuber called Chris Brenner. He's from Düsseldorf, Germany and was born the 26th July 1995.

Chris is a folk singer who is well-known worldwide thanks to his YouTube channel, ChrisBrennerMusic, where he has over 140,000 suscribers. He started posting covers of different artists, however, he has already released original music, and last year he released an EP called Limitless. He has relased four official music videos, for his songs Before We Fall, Talent, Talk To Me and One Shot.

Are you looking for beautiful acoustic covers of your favorite songs, but you would also like to listen to some new originals? Then, you'll definitely enjoy Chris Brenner's music!

With no further delay, it's better to tell the music talk for itself. What do you think about this young artist?

"The Black"

Hello my readers!

At the beginning of this week, the post-hardcore band Asking Alexandria released a brand new single from their upcoming album The Black, which is coming out March 25th. The single gives the title to the album, and it was released February 1st.

The topic this song's about becomes pretty clear once you give the song a listen. It's about those people who destroy us, who break us inside and "make us see black", as the song itself says. However, even though that person has done that much damage to us, we still believe deep inside of us that they will change and somehow we feel like we need them and we're hoping they would do so. Truth be told - sadly, most of the times, what we're hoping doesn't happen. For this reason, it's better to keep the people who hurt us far away, the furthest we can.

What do you think? What does the song mean to you?

"Opinion Overload"

Hi guys! How are you? I hope you're doing great!

Just two days ago, the pop-punk band from Montreal, Simple Plan, released a brand new single from their upcoming new album Taking One For The Team, called Opinion Overload - with its music video aswell. Their fifth album is coming out February 19th, which is coming very soon!

This new single reminds me of songs from their earlier albums, such as Shut Up! and You Don't Mean Anything, in the sense that the topics are very similar, but at the same time they're different. I'm not saying this as a bad thing, actually it's the opposite, since Simple Plan's songs like these are my favorite ones. Songs about doing whatever you want to without giving a damn about what others think are not only typical pop-punk songs, but also catchy and awesome!

I personally enjoyed this song pretty much and the resemblance with their older stuff is something I was kind of missing and I'm glad that it seems like it's back! Furthermore, it seems like I'm not the only one who thinks this way, since I've seen that it's got a great fan response. What about you? What do you think about their new single?
