Empty Playgrounds

Today I'm here with a two-piece band that I've heard about recently.

They're Empty Playgrounds, a two-piece band from Spain. It's formed by Adrián Luna and María Quinteto, two young people from Spain.

They met two years ago thanks to social media (in this case, twitter) because they're both fans of the same band, Fifth Harmony, and they ended up meeting in person. They tried playing some covers of that band, and also of other bands like Secondhand Serenade, My Chemical Romance or The Pretty Reckless.

They liked the result, for this reason they decided to meet other time to record a cover. However, María showed Adrían a rhythm she'd written, and he wrote lyrics for that. In less than two hours they had their first song finished, Let Me Just Be Yours, which you will be able to listen soon.

Since then, they started working together, and now they have five original songs that will come out soon aswell.

They play acoustic music, as they say:
"it's just one voice and an acoustic guitar trying to convey feelings".

This is the first song they've released, called América Hundida, which is about Donald Trumps' victory in the US Elections.

I personally enjoyed this song a lot, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on it, so let me know! The talent, they have it. Will they also get the sucess?

Well, we can't know that yet, but they have so much potential!

"Perfectly Perfect"

They did it again. It seems like our guys from Simple Plan aren't happy if they don't make an emotional music video per album.

In No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls, they did it with Perfect's music video.
In Still Not Gettin' Any, they did it with Untitled's music video.
In Simple Plan, they did it with Save You's music video.
In Get Your Heart On!, they did it with This Song Saved My Life's music video.
Now, in Taking One For The Team, they've done it again.

Perfectly Perfect, probably the song that can touch your heart in an emotional way from the album, finally has a music video that we can enjoy.

Following the song's theme, the video is exactly what we could name an ode to diversity. We can watch many couples, but what makes the video as beautiful as it is isn't the fact that they're shown - what makes it so especial is that the people we can see aren't the stereotypes we see in most videos.

We can see straight couples, but we can also see homosexual couples. We can see people with different body types. We can see people from different places, people of different races.

Because all of us aren't white,
because all of us aren't thin.
because all of us aren't straight,
because all of us aren't the typical stereotypes,
because all of us aren't the same.
Because there's nothing wrong about that.
We're diverse, aren't we?

Thank you, Simple Plan.
You've done it again,
you've let us know that it's okay to be diverse,
that it's okay to be ourselves.

Dear Jeydon Wale,

You all are probably thinking: "oh, you wanna talk about Jeydon as if him coming out is gossip".

No, that's not the case.

I want to talk about Jeydon Wale because I'm proud of him, because I know coming out isn't something easy. It shouldn't be something difficult, but it is most of the times. It takes courage to tell the world who you actually are and open up about it.

Now this goes to you, Jeydon,

I'm really happy that you've come to the point where you accept yourself as you are, it's amazing and it draws a smile on my face to hear you say that you're so happy. It actually does.

As a transgender guy, I know all that, I can relate to everything you said and I did tear up because you deserve all the good things that happen to you.

Also, I know how much it helps our community the fact that someone like you have been able to stand up and say the truth: that we're just as everyone else. Because, the more we talk about it, the more natural people start to see it - which is as it should be.

I've read that tweet in which you've said you're working on a project to support the trans community, and as a trans actvist, whatever help you need, I'm willing to help and I'd love to, because that's what I try to do most of the time actually.

You have all my support, Jeydon, we've gone through really similar things after all. Stay awesome as you've always been!

Asking Alexandria's ex-lead singer coming back!?

These last days have been a little weird for the fans of the band Asking Alexandria, but today rumours have been confirmed.

Denis Stoff, singer for the band since Danny Worsnop left, has left Asking Alexandria.

Also, Danny Worsnop, who left the band in 2015, has come back.

Why has this happened? We don't have much information on this, we only know what Ben Bruce has told, which is not much. Basically he has said that Denis stopped talking to them with no apparent reason, and then reclaimed "what they owed him". Ben emphasizes that they didn't kick Denis out of the band.

Their relationship with Danny had improved, even though at first there were some downs. For this reason, finally, he re-joined the band.

Some fans feel happy about this, other feel upset about this, and definitely many don't know how to feel about this. Are you excited about Danny's comeback, or did you prefer Denis? Share your thoughts below!

Here you can watch the video in which Ben Bruce talks about this: https://www.facebook.com/askingalexandria/videos/10154640092260818/

The band Annisokay releases new song - "Loud"

More than a week without posting any post? In any blog? I should definitely apologize about this, but also wasting time saying "I'm sorry I didn't post" is time I'm wasting when I could be talking about music - which is why you're here, aren't you?

Today, the post-hardcore band from Germany, Annisokay, has released a brand new single off their upcoming album Devil May Care, which is coming out October 11th!

The song's meaning can be quite blurry and open to interpretation, however, considering the lyrics and the video I would say that it's basically about how short the time we have is and taking advantage of it to say whatever you have to say, what you believe and think it's the truth - even if people won't listen.

Do you agree, or do you find another meaning to the song? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

"God Save Us All"

The release date of Sum 41's new album, 13 Voices, is coming closer and closer. After listening to two tracks off this new album, Fake My Own Death and War, we could guess that not only they were coming back, but also that they were coming back in the music style that we would enjoy about them.

This time, they've released another song, God Save Us All (Death to POP), that talks about the feeling that gives you rock music - that sense of unity, of sympathy, that feeling that we're all going through the same.

13 Voices seems to be an awesome album, they haven't got softer, and they keep being as amazing as they used to be. Will the rest of the album be this way? Hope so!

My Digital Escape coming back? Not really.

In case you don't know about My Digital Escape, I'll talk a little about it so you don't feel lost while reading this post.

My Digital Escape (aka MDE) is a channel that was originally formed by a group of YouTubers who decided to make a collaboration channel. Basically it was formed by: BryanStars, Johnie Guilbert, Alex Dorame, Jeydon Wale, Kyle David Hall, Shannon Taylor, Jordan Sweeto... and also some people who sometimes collaborated.

However, they broke up like four months ago, the channel remained open, but after the explanation no videos were post.

Until a few days ago, when suddenly a video was uploaded. As far as we've heard, one member of the original collab has bought the channel and re-opened it by themselves. All of this without consent by the other members, which has felt to them like being stabbed in the back - no wonder why.

They're all upset and disappointed, since it's something they created together, and one person is trying to take advantage of it so unfairly and without even asking them.

Below you can watch a couple of videos from some of the members, explaining the actual situation:

"Wake Me Up When September Ends"

September started some days ago, and there's always something that comes along with that - thousands of people on twitter with the hashtag #WakeMeUpWhenSeptemberEnds, and with thousands complaining about that fact too.

Why does this happen?

Wake Me Up When September Ends is a Green Day song, which was written by Billie Joe Armstrong (singer of Green Day) talking about his feelings towards his father's death. Billie was 10, and after the funeral he ran away to his room and lay in bed, when his mother came looking for him, he said: "wake me up when September ends".

Most people who write tweets saying "wake me up when September ends", only say it because it's when school starts, which is why it annoys many people - the truth behind that line is way harder than that and it's not something to joke about.

"Life Changes"

Hello there!

Just today, the pop-punk band Good Charlotte has released a brand new music video for their single Life Changes, coming off their latest album, Youth Authority

Showing us some of their moments while touring, live shows, rehearsals, some moments with their mates... they give the video the feel that life changes, and what the fast life is like on tour.

Well, it seems as though they have a good time there ;)

"Take Cover"

Let's review some music!

Some days ago, the pop-punk band All Time Low released a brand new single off their future release Straight To DVD II, called Take Cover.

There's been some kind of debate about this song, since some fans of the band haven't actually enjoyed it - and other fans did like the song. Well, as usual, right? I'm going to share my point of view on this song.

The lyrical content of the song, I really liked it - the meaning was great on my point of view, talking about the left out and stuff related to that.

The style and instrumental of the song, kind of disappointed me. Even though it's growing on me, it feels too comercial, especially on the chorus. Probably if the chorus was more punk alike, or more similar to the style of the bridges, it would be so much better.

What about you? Which are your thoughts on the song?

Back to School Essentials!

Hello there! September's here, which means that most of you guys reading me are coming back to school in a few days (I guess) - if you haven't yet!

Days like these it's trendy to do a "back to school essentials", and that's exactly what I'm doing - however, I'm doing it in a different way! Musically talking there have to be some back to school essentials, right? ;)

To begin with, the first impression some of us get when coming to school is being scared, isn't it? Especially if you're new, you don't know anybody and you feel lost. Teenagers can actually scare the living shit out of you. This can help along the way!

This song is dedicated to every kid who ever gotpicked last in gym class, to every kid who never had a date to no school dance, to everyone who's ever been called a freak, this is for you!

After all, we're just kids who want to feel like they fit in. High school, and life itslelf can feel like a nightmare if you're all alone... losers today, winners tomorrow anyway! ;)

Also, how can we not talk about how boring high school is? Spending hours sitting in a chair doing stuff you don't want to do with people you don't want to be with most of the time... that's boring to death!

Well, good luck to everyone! Me, I'm not going to high scool since I'm a college guy finally, but I'm still scared to death and figuring out how everything will be. Some music always helps along the way!

Straight To DVD's trailer!

I'm back here with news from less than an hour ago!

The pop-punk band from Baltimore All Time Low has just released the official trailer of Straight To DVD II. Straight To DVD was a documentary full of performances, backstages, stories and basically All Time Low being as they are... anything but normal (in a good way) ;)

If you want to watch Straight To DVD, click here.

And the 9th September, these guys are releasing Straight To DVD, which seems like it's going to be as amazing as the first one, or, who knows? Maybe even better. We won't know until the 9th September. Judge by yourself by watching the trailer that's just been posted, below I'm sharing it!

"Carry On"

Talking about bands that are releasing brand new music, post-hardcore couldn't definitely lag behind, right?

Memphis May Fire, the worldwide known post-hardcore band from Texas, has announced that they're releasing their brand new album, titled This Light I Hold, on October 28th.

In advance, they've shared with us what seems to be the first single off the album, Carry On. The sound of their music doesn't seem to have changed, although some complain that the lyrics aren't as good as their oldest music in comparison.

It seems as though these lyrics complaining about haters, can bring some haters more as well. However, other defend this song and the power that it transmits.

In which side are you?

"War"

Hi there, let's talk about pop-punk! And, since we're going to talk about pop-punk, why not talk about Sum 41's latest single?

As you might know, Sum 41 is releasing a brand new álbum in October 7th, 13 Voices. The first song we got to listen off this new album was Fake Your Own Death, the living proof that not only they're back, but also they're back with the same pop-punk style we've always loved about them!

This new track keeps this style, that turns more to an alternative rock style with a meaning that can remind us to Pieces. Some say it has references to the singer's problems with alcoholism.

Nevertheless, the song itself mentions any kind of war that we might have to face with ourselves, those wars that aren't against other people, it's just those fights in which we try to overcome something that feels like a damn war.

As they say, somedays it's just so hard, but nobody said wars were easy - it's a war after all, right?

Jonathan Young

Hello guys!

Want to go back to your childhood by listening to some music? Do you want to listen to songs that you've likely listened to as a kid in a different way? What about as some rad rock covers? That's more than possible thanks to Jonathan Young!

Jonathan "Young" Fried, a youtuber and musician from Minnesota, in the US, has been rounding YouTube for a long while now, posting covers of many different kinds, but specially covers of Disney's songs! He's covered plenty of songs off films such as The Lion King, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, and so on.

However, there's more! Also, Jonathan Young has his own original stuff.

I'll let you check that by yourselves - you won't be able to deny that he makes amazing renditions of Disney's songs.

Why do we listen to sad music when we're upset?

It's late at night, maybe 1, 2, 3... AM, and for some reason, you end up listening to (what people call) emo music. Well, maybe you don't, maybe you're at a party listening to electronic music and having a lot of fun, but that isn't what I'm talking about, so, let's put that aside.

I'm talking about when it's late at night, you're on your own, feeling down thinking about your life, and you find yourself listening to sad music. It might even sound senseless, because, if you're not feeling okay, listening to sad music? Isn't that going to make everything worse?

You've got a point there if you think so. In fact, sometimes, listening to sad music makes you feel even sadder and, you know, that only leaves us fucked up emotionally - which isn't cool at all.

Why do we do that then? You want an answer? Here it is. (Well, at least this is why I do it, every person is different, but most people I've heard about agree with me in this)

If you're feeling down, it comforts you to know that someone out there understands you, that there's someone out there who knows what you're going through - because that means you're not the only one, that means you're not as alone as you feel. Am I right?

Yeah, you will probably cry a river while listening to those sad lyrics. Nonetheless, it's like when you're opening up to someone and they just say "I know how it feels like, I've been there". Of course you don't want them to suffer, you don't like the fact that they've suffered (I guess), but their understanding embraces you.

The difference is that you didn't have to say a word. The difference is that you do not know that person, and they do not know you. The difference is that you only put a song on. They don't know you, but for 4 minutes 51 seconds, it feels like they know you better than anyone else in this world.

That's enough, that's all you needed. Someone understood you, someone told you that it was okay to hurt, that it was okay to feel all these things. Someone told you they felt the same way you did. Someone told you everything was going to be okay.

Do you ever feel this way? Let me know your experiences on this on the comments below!

"Dragon Sickness"

Hey there!

Today, the post-hardcore band Villain Of The Story, after not releasing music for a while, has released a brand new single, Dragon Sickness.

It's said that bands get softer with time, but this definitely isn't the case! Not only these guys have positively progressed since their earlier music, but also they've become heavier.

In addition, let's take a listen to the lyrics - who hasn't met a person like the one they talk about, who takes advantage of others? Those people can give you a hard time, even ruin your life... however, with time, those people end up alone, because no one wants to be played with. Maybe this would be a nice track to dedicate them ;)

Keep it up guys, I'm sure you'll go far!

"Suffer"

Let's talk about music!

Today I'm talking about the song Suffer, by the post-hardcore band Get Scared. I chose it because I was just listening to it and thought: "hey, it might be cool to talk about it", so here I am.

This song's about revenge. It's about when someone hurts you so badly and you want them to feel the same way you've been feeling all along. You know getting revenge isn't the right thing, but deep inside of you all you want is that person to feel like you have.

It's like saying: "you see it, right? This is what you've done"

Maybe that person has hurt you physically, emotionally, even both. The damage that person has caused you, it can't be repared. You can't turn back time and pretend nothing happened.

"How will I last from all the hell in my past?"
"So many moments that I can't erase"

You're suffering the consequences of what that person has done to you - you wish they knew how it actually feels like.

The expressivity in this track is really strong, mixing screams of desperation with clean vocals that express anger. In addition, the message it transmits hits hard as well.

I want to clarify that I am totally against of revenge as a way of solving any kind of conflicts, as I am also against of any kind of violence. However, I find this song comforting, in a way that it helps let go of all the anger and pain some situations with certain people can bring you.

"Circles"

Hi there! How are y'all doing? I hope you're doing great!

Only a few hours ago, the post-hardcore band Pierce The Veil released the official music video for their single Circles, which is the first music video off their latest album, Misadventures

To be honest, the video is quite weird, but in a funny and enjoyable way! The plot of it is a really cool one - it seems as though they had a great time recording it. Knowing we're talking about Pierce The Veil, this isn't the first video in which they do crazy things and everything gets a little weird.

These guys never disappoint, do they?

Posers

Nowadays, a lot of people talk about fake fans, or as some call them, posers.

First of all, let's clear up who people consider a fake fan. It's said that a poser is someone who pretends to like a band, pretends to be a fan only because it's trendy, or they want to be liked by a certain group of people.

You might not like what I'm about to say, but it's my opinion though.

Okay, I understand that you don't like the fact that someone says they're a bands biggest fan when they only know five songs, I get it. I understand that you hate it when someone pretends to like a band only because it's trendy or because someone said they like it.

I used to be the kind of person who gets really mad at people who are like that, so I feel you.

However, honestly, what's the point of all of this? This doesn't have to be a damn battle, you know? Not knowing the name of each member of a band, not knowing their biography, or not knowing all the songs that they've released isn't a crime, for God's sake!

Of course it pisses me off when someone pretends to like a certain kind of music they don't like to fit in, but, who hasn't done something they didn't like to fit in? I have, and you too.

It's taken to a point in which, even when you're discovering a band, if you don't know all the songs, you're a fake. All doesn't have to be about fighting. If you don't like someone's attitude (talking about posers), just ignore them. Not everyone's faking, and if someone is, maybe there's a reason, maybe they don't want to be left out.

Maybe they don't have a reason, but, who cares? Are we really going to keep fighting for something so senseless? Go listen to the music you like, let other people live their life, live yours, and chill.

There's too much hate in this world, to hate over this.

Damon Fizzy

Hello everybody!

After (literally) ages, I decided that it'd be a good moment to talk about YouTubers, about a certain YouTuber actually. Today I'm talking about Damon Fizzy.

I decided to talk about him because some days ago I read some tweets Damon had written, and I gave them some depth thinking. He talked about the reasons why he hasn't been posting videos for a really long while.

I'm happy that he seems to be making videos again, but I'm not happy because I enjoy his videos - of course I do, don't give me to wrong, but this isn't about that.

I'm happy that he's making videos again because that means (hopefully) he's getting better, that means he's feeling more energy to do the things he loves.

Damon has always made videos trying to give a hand to people having a hard time, he created the Fizzy Family, a community for people there for one another. Damon is one of those people who have tried to help other people even when he couldn't help himself. That shows what kind of a person he is.

Damon, you have created something especial, you have a lot of people supporting you (myself included), and you can get through anything coming on your way. You're a great example of overcoming difficulties.

I'm so looking forward to watching new videos from you, stay strong and keep up hope, we all love you, Damon.

As you said;
"I don't even know you, and I love you. I don't even know you and I care about you. (...)
See the bright side of thing, know that life gets better."

Paper Rockets

Hello my dearest readers!

I'm here with a new discover of mine that you'll love to hear about! This time, I'm talking about a band called Paper Rockets.

They're a pop-punk/rock/acoustic band from Argentina, and they've been posting covers on YouTube for two years now, also they released an official ago some time ago. Currenty they're working on the release of their debut album.

The band is formed by Austin Rome (vocals, guitar), Nacho (drums), Rod (bass) and Peter (guitar).

Influenced by bands such as blink-182, Green Day, Good Charlotte, All Time Low.... these guys are trying to find a place in the music business - will they get that? They talent, they have it, let's see what the future brings to them! Good luck guys!

My Chemical Heartbreak

Hi guys!

What happens when My Chemical Romance says they have an upcoming announcement? Well, I can tell you what happened. Everybody (including myself) got excited thinking that they were coming back together. So innocent we were...

The truth is that they aren't coming back together - I wish. The truth is that the only thing that's happening is a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade, which came out in 2006 - so it's 10 years old now.

To be honest, it's a shame that they aren't coming back together, especially because we got our hopes high, but since it seems like it's not happening - at least we should enjoy the release when it comes our, right?

This is the message:

Woke Up Waiting

Hey there!

You probably know by now that one of the things I like the most about blogging about music is finding bands that are rising but they're still trying to reach a bigger audience so they can jump into the music business and get the success they're looking for.

This time I'm talking about a band I just found out about today.

They're called Woke Up Waiting, they're from Vancouver (in Canada), and they're a 3-piece pop-punk band which started posting videos on YouTube only half a year ago. It's currently formed by Justin Mattock, Lucas Bayley and Sean Thomas.

They have released several covers, and finally only some days ago they've released their debut single Best Of Me. Their start looks really exciting and it seems that we can expect some great music coming out soon - only time will tell. However, meanwhile, let's enjoy what we can so far!

"Fix My Jet Black Heart"

Hi guys!

Today I'm writing to let you know I've started a new fanfiction that I'm publishing on my wattpad account.

This time, as something unusual, I'm doing it about a very popular band (it's not because of their popularity, the idea just came to mind) - 5 Seconds Of Summer. Well, it's especially about only two of the members of the band, Luke Hemmings and Ashton Irwin, I wanted to clarify that.

The story is called Fix My Jet Black Heart, and click here to know what it's about ;)

Outstanding releases!

Hey dearest readers!

The end of last month (and the beginning of this one) have brought us some great releases, let's talk about some of the most outstanding ones!

The post-hardcore band Of Mice & Men has surprised us (and frightened us with the video) releasing a brand new single for their song Pain, the first song we get to listen from their upcoming new album, Cold World, which will be out September 9th. The change in their sound, becoming more Hardcore than their last records, has surprised the audience - in a good or bad way? We'll get to see that!

We get a little softer, because this year pop punk's definitely in a come-back. Many bands have proved that so far, and the next to add up is Taking Back Sunday, that released a brand new song called Tidal Wave, so 00's-sound-alike. Are we back in the 00's? I definitely hope so!

I talking about pop punk coming back to life, wasn't I? Knowing that blink-182, Taking Back Sunday, Good Charlote, Simple Plan... are captivating us with a 00's sound, which band is missing? Sum 41 won't fall behind, and they're joining the come-back, with the release of a brand new song called Fake My Own Death. It was time, right?

Last, but not least, we'll push aside the 00's for a while, and we'll go back to 2016, because the rock band I Prevail also has something new for us! They've just released a brand new single, Scars, and its music video... which leads us wondering - do we know ourselves?

Goodbye, Yellowcard

Hi guys!

Recently, the pop punk band Yellowcard announced that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. With a letter which they post in their website, and a video for the song Rest In Piece, they announced that the end of Yellowcard is really near.

This will be their last album, and their last World Tour.

This band, which has been around since 1997, has shared with us plenty of moments, songs, tours... but it's their time. And it's our time to thank them for all the great music, all the tours, all the moments they've shared with us. Also, it's time to realize that, even though this is goodbye, we will have their amazing music forever.

Thank you, Yellowcard. Now, you can rest in piece.

"Bored To Death"

Hey there!

Just today, the pop-punk band blink-182 has released the official music video for their single Bored To Death. This is the first single off their new album, California, which will be released on July, 1st - which is the first album released since Tom DeLonge left blink-182

Is it the same without Tom? Do they sound really different, or not much has changed? Are the fans liking their new stuff even when Tom isn't in the band?

Whatever the opinions about that are, there's something clear, they're with the 00's sound back. The video with teenagers, a high school, a show, and the song itself is the typical 00's pop-punk song that bands like blink-182 had some years ago.

What are your thoughts on this single and video? Let me know in the comments below!

Tree House out now!

Hi everyone!

Only some hours ago, the electronicore band I See Stars has released their brand new album Tree House. With singles such as Break, Mobbin' Out and Running With Scissors, and many other songs more, there are different opinions from fans of this band.

Some people dig the album and enjoy it - however, some compare it to New Demons, wishing this album was more like it. In which side are you, do you like this album or you're disappointed?

I'm personally digging all the songs I've listened to! Let me know your thoughts ;)

Don't preach hate.

Today I'm not talking about music, and this is the first time in... ages that I talk about stuff which isn't related to music, but here I am. However, I hate to talk about this.

A man armed killed today 50 people in a LGBT+ club in Orlando, called Pulse, and injured at least 53. The media informs that it was planned and also, according to Obama's words "we know enough to say this was an act of horror and act of hate".

You've probably heard these heartbreaking news and I'm not surprising anyone by sharing these news with you.

I'm writing about this because it hits home, because I cannot help but tear up everytime I just think about what happened. You might be thinking, "but you didn't know them, they weren't related to you" - it doesn't matter. And, actually, I'm not that different from the people who were killed today in Orlando.

The same way that when it happened in France and the people killed were in a rock show I thought "it could have been me", I think it today. That's why today I ask for your attention and beg you to read this until the very end.

Hate will lead us nowhere, hate isn't the solution to any problem. No matter who you are, your religion, your beliefs, your gender, your skin color, your sexual orientation, your age, your nationality... we are all human, we deserve to be treated as what we are... different, but equal.

I know we live in a society that tells us to hate whoever/whatever's different, but today I ask you to burn all those bridges, say goodbye to all the insults they taught you. You'll probably be thinking, "but I didn't kill anyone, why do I have to change?"... because we need to preach love, we need to put our lit.

Tomorrow, don't call that guy from high school "faggot", don't call that girl from your neighborhood "tranny", don't insult that person who has different beliefs than yours... don't preach hate. Whether you believe it or not, by not doing that you will actually make a difference, a positive one. If you do the opposite thing, you're stimulating hate. Which side would you prefer to be in?

I join the path that leads to a brighter future, to a better world in which we all can be ourselves without being afraid of getting hurt, of being harassed or killed. I join the side in which I'll find people determined to make a better world for all of us.

Show the world that we're better than this. Maybe we cannot change the whole world, but we can change someone's world. I am a part of the LGBT+ community, I'm not any less of a person because of that, and I'm proud of it. Never be ashamed of your true colors - never make someone feel ashamed of their true colors either.

Let's talk about "Story Untold"!

Hi guys! I've got amazing things to tell you about!

Not so long ago, I was telling you that the band Amasic is now called Story Untold. Well, only two days ago, they announced that they just got signed to Hopeless Records (the record label of bands such as All Time Low, New Found Glory, The Used...)!

Also, they have a self-titled EP out now and have released an official music video for their new single History

Those are such great news!

Personally, as a person who's been a fan of these guys for more than two years now, all I can say is that I'm very proud of them, I'm so happy that they finally got signed with a record label as great as Hopeless Records.

I started watching Janick Thibault's covers on YouTube, and seeing how far he's come from there is awesome. I have seen them grow as a band (when they were called Amasic) and it's amazing to see how finally effort and determination make people's dreams true.

Congratulation guys, you deserve it. I hope you the best, good luck and keep rocking!

"On The Run"

Hey guys!

Today, the German singer Chris Brenner has released his brand new single On The Run. It had been a long while since he last released an original song, actually almost a year, so it's great to get to listen to more original music by him!

This single is off a new EP by Chris Brenner called One Shot that you can already pre-order on iTunes, Playstore and Amazon as well. Let's wait to see what's next ;)

What are your thoughts on this new single?

'Misadventures' out now!

After four years without releasing a new CD, finally, the post-hardcore band Pierce The Veil has released their brand new album, which is called 'Misadventures'. Have you got it yet?

We had already been able to listen to some singles off the album, such as The Divine Zero, Circles and Texas Is Forever, which could give us an idea of how the album was going to sound like. It is said that bands get "softer" with years, however, this is not the case!

Not only they have not gotten softer, but also (I think) they get better with every song. What about you? What are your thoughts on their new album? Let me know below in the comments!

"Degrees of Separation"

Have you checked out Hands Like Houses' latest single Degrees of Separation? These Australian guys bring us a new single coming from their album Dissonants, which is out now!

Refilled with visual effects so that you can look into the relationship between the lyrical content of the song and the meaning of the video, it gives a sense of being caged, of isolation and separation. We can easily tell from that which is the intention of the video - understand a bit better the meaning of the song and maybe make you relate to it.

What do you think of the video, what does it make you think about?

April's News!

Hi everyone!

Since this month I haven''t post anything here at all, this post is going to be a review of the most destacable news of this month!

To begin with the band which used to be called Amasic, isn't called that way anymore. They're now called Story Untold and have two new members: Max Cloutier (rhythm guitar) and Aiden Von Rose (bass)! They decided to rename the band after Matt leaving andn Max and Aiden joining the band. Details explained here:

In addition, the post-hardcore band from California, Saosin, has released a new single from their upcoming album Along the Shawod, which is coming May 30th. The single, Control and the Urge to Pray advances how it'll be like, and it looks great!

Likewise, also the band Living In Fiction has released a brand new single. Nevertheless, there's the icing on the cake in this one, since this band is collaborating in this single with Matt and Trevor Wentworth from Our Last Night - collab that has been requested by many fans!

Altough there are many other news, I consider these ones the most highlight ones. So this is it guys! I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know your thoughts below in the comments ^-^

"Follow You"

Hello guys!

Today, the alternative metal band Bring Me The Horizon has released the official music video for their single Follow You off their latest album That's The Spirit. Along with Drown, Throne and True Friends, which are the other singles off the album which were released some time ago.

Analizing the video, it's a very curious one to watch - since the beginning it's pretty clear the aim of the video, which is a critic to society.

In the video, you can see how everyone's "going crazy", killing other people, destroying everything... however, you can also see this guy who's the main character of the video just walking like nothing's going wrong. If we go deeper into that we can compare it to the world as it is today. Even though the video shows a kind of unrealistic caption, it's similar to things happening at the moment.

All these things are actually happening, in a different way, but they're happening. There are people being killed, there are people destroying cities and countries. Nevertheless, we still act as if nothing was happening, as if everything was okay. We are like that one guy who's walking and ignoring everything around him. Do you really want that? Do you want to be that person who ignores the actual issues and doesn't give a damn about what's going on? I don't know about you, but I don't want to be that person.

I don't think that we can turn a blind eye, and I won't.

"We are the strays"

Hi everybody!

Today I'm going to talk about a song. If you usually read my posts you'll know that when it comes to talking about a song I end up talking about deep stuff and about emotions. That's what I mostly look for in music so, it sounds okay to me.

The song I've chosen is The Strays by Sleeping With Sirens. This single is a very "calm" one if we compare it to the rest of the album, since it's only acoustic style most of the song and then it turns into a soft rock style.

Have you ever felt like you belonged nowhere, like you couldn't find a place in which you belonged? Have you ever been told that you're no one, that you'll never become who you want to? Have you ever felt astray? Have you ever felt like they were right? Have you ever felt lost, thrown away?

If so, don't worry. After all, this is what this song talks about, all the people who are astray - that's where the title comes from. It gives a sense of community, the same that is felt among the fans of a same kind of music, or of a same band.

It's okay to follow a different path than the rest of the people, why should we have to be like them? Don't you think so?

When all is said and done, maybe we're not that astray, all the strays are walking together. Our path is different, but it's still as valid as their path. At least we can say we were able to make it in a distinct way - isn't that something to celebrate?

'Taking One For The Team' out now!

Hi my dear readers!

Only some hours ago, the pop-punk band from Montreal, Simple Plan, released their latest and fifth studio album! After what seemed like forever, Taking One For The Team is finally out - our guys are back!

There's only a thing I can say... awesome.

With pop-punk songs that remind us of old days of Simple Plan, about the topics that made us get hooked to their music, but also with songs different from each other. That's really cool, but, what about those acoustic deep songs that probably make you tear up or cry? There are also songs like that, those sad songs these guys make that leave you speechless.

Besides that, there are severall colaborations with other artists in this album, with artists such as R.City, Juliet Simms and more!

In my opinion, this album's great, and mixes all the little things that made me fall in love with this band, reminding me of their older music but also with a fresh vibe which is great. I think it's definitely what pop-punk needed.

So, what are your thoughts on this new album?

Valentine's Day

Hey there! How are you doing?

As you know, today is Valentine's Day. So, let's celebrate it! And, what's the best way of celebrating something? Exactly, with some music.

For that reason, I'm sharing with you 5 pop-punk/alternative/rock songs about love that you could dedicate to someone you love or you could just play in the background while you're on a date (?) I don't know, you decide the use you give the songs!

Do you want to show the person you love that you want to be with them always? Well, blink-182 has the answer! Behind the pop-punk vibe of these guys, here they are showing us their sweetest side:

Love is forever? That's what they say, don't they? Well, the guys from Sleeping With Sirens ask for a "forever" from the person they love. What about you?

Now coming back to a pop-punk style very common from Simple Plan, we have this single that you might think starts as a ballad, but it definitely isn't so! If your partner and you don't like quiet songs, but want to keep the love topic blast this song and sing along:

Coming back to a quieter beat, we have Boys Like Girls, who brings us a very romantic track to dedicate to the one you're in love with, in case you're a romantic that prefers to sing quiet and classic-kind-of love songs:

Last, but not least, we have Yellowcard, with this classic that never gets old, where we find again a pop-punk vibe that still keeps the topic we're talking about but makes you want to jump and sing along!

What are you doing/did you do today? If you don't have anyone to share these songs with, don't worry, we can't enjoy them together ;)
